Felician Center
Felician Center Inc. is a Catholic, nonprofit, charitable organization sponsored by the Felician Sisters of North America and supported by the Bishop of the Diocese of Charleston, South Carolina. The Center is faith based and serves all of our brothers and sisters in Williamsburg County South Carolina struggling to meet basic needs through our St. Felix Food Pantry, St. Clare Clothing Closet, Blessed Angela Meal, Eye/Dental and Prescription Program, and the Francis Marion University Health Care Programs. Our Learning Center provides educational opportunities for improved school performance, along with moral and spiritual development.
Felician Center is one of the many ministries of the Felician Sisters of Our Lady of Hope Province. We are a Franciscan community of women who are committed to fulfilling our mission of cooperating with Christ in the spiritual renewal of the world. The Sisters have been ministering to God’s people in Kingstree, South Carolina since 1992 in the areas of Social Ministry, Faith Formation and Education. The Scripture from Matthew 25 has been the Sisters’ inspiration and guide to be a presence of God’s love and care to all people.
All ministries of the Felician Sisters of North America are guided by five core values which are inspired by Scripture, the life of St. Francis of Assisi and our Foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska. They are:
- Respect for Human Dignity
- Compassion
- Transformation
- Solidarity with the Poor
- Justice & Peace
